I’m Kevin Kelly, a salon owner and celebrity hairstylist based in New Jersey. I opened my first salon at 18 years old and over the last decade have built a multi-layered brand that includes a high-end salon, a luxury hair extension line, and a nonprofit dedicated to giving back through beauty-driven community initiatives.

My work lives at the intersection of real life and high visibility. One day I’m behind the chair in my small six-chair salon, the next I’m styling for television, events, or celebrities, then moving straight into hosting or producing charity fashion shows, fundraisers, and community programs. I run multiple businesses, wear a lot of hats, and my days rarely start or end in the same place.

I’m pitching this show because I genuinely live the contrast it explores. The salon world is full of strong personalities, different leadership styles, egos, creativity, pressure, and heart, and it’s rarely shown honestly. This show isn’t about tearing anyone down. It’s about placing two confident salon owners into each other’s worlds and seeing what happens when control shifts, routines are challenged, and respect has to be earned in real time.

At its core, the show is about leadership, adaptability, and the reality of building something from the ground up. It’s funny, tense, relatable, and rooted in a world people are endlessly curious about but rarely get to see up close.
